Tata Steel

‘The value added by AMPS Delft was of significant use at the early stages of our complicated project. Also, the outcome of their analysis provided our team with a steep learning curve. Overall, we feel very confident in working with AMPS Delft in future.’

In the autumn of 2017, AMPS Delft conducted an analysis of the upcoming Cold Mill 21 project (CM21) at the IJmuiden facility of Tata Steel. CM21 is part of a major refurbishment program extending across several years. AMPS Delft was asked to run an analysis of the CM21 project to assure a flawless execution whilst meeting high quality standards. Tata Steel also wanted to indicate a minimize of loss of production time within the complete supply chain. AMPS Delft carried out a thorough scenario analysis which yielded valuable, quantitative insights into the most critical issues before, during and after the implementation of the upcoming project.

Van Oord Maritime Contractors

Summer 2017, AMPS Delft was asked to participate in an offshore wind project managed by Van Oord, a company located in Rotterdam with over 150 years’ experience as an international marine contractor. We asked AMPS to conduct an analysis on the mobilization of our heavy lift vessel ‘Svanen’. To this end, AMPS carried out a thorough scenario analysis which provided valuable insights into the most efficient and effective options for mobilizing the vessel. Even though AMPS Delft was only involved in a limited way, we are of the opinion that the consultancy of AMPS Delft can be of significant use at the early stages of complicated projects that require an investigation of different scenarios.’
